A Rite of Passage

5–12 June 2027 – South of France & Pyrenees
Kundalini Yoga, Women’s Power and Wild Nature in Southern France

A week for women who want to feel and nurture their strength.

Women’s Camp & Hike is a camp-style retreat for women with a heart for Kundalini Yoga, unspoiled nature and hiking. We live together in connection, sharing the fire, the silence, the laughter and the sweat.

We start in Monties, our home in the countryside of the Gers, South of France. We practise yoga, eat delicious fresh food and walk daily through the rolling hills. Afterwards, we spend three days in the Haut-Pyrénées on a hut-to-hut trek – with our packs on our backs, mountain air in our lungs and each other by our side.

Inspired by the original Khalsa Women’s Training Camps and the Karam Kriya Men’s Walk, this week is dedicated to inner strength, sisterhood and comm-unity.

Transformative Practices

The heart of this retreat lies in the transformative practices we share. Kundalini Yoga opens body and mind, releasing patterns of fear, stress, and addiction. A high mountain walk in the Pyrenees mirrors this inner journey, showing how every step can carry us beyond our limits. In sisterhood and Red Tent circles, we remember that we do not walk alone. Rooted in the teachings of Kundalini Yoga and Sikh Dharma, these practices restore a deep confidence that life is holding us, guided by a force greater than ourselves.

  • P.D. writes:

“I have done a lot of women’s work, but this week felt different. I rediscovered how important it is not only to slow down and rest, but also to nourish my courage and inner strength. The hikes in the Pyrenees, the yoga and the conversations helped me surprise myself. Something shifted. I realised that I can hold myself, even when I am afraid.”

  • B. W. writes:

“Two days in the mountains. Mud, mist, rain and eventually sunshine. Challenging and incredibly beautiful at the same time. An experience I will cherish for a long time. The combination of Kundalini Yoga, nature, hiking and being together with other women made this week truly special. I am deeply grateful to have been part of it.”

  • J. S. Writes:

“I was invited to meet my fears and step into the unknown, supported by breath, compassion and trust. We explored both effort and relaxation, challenge and surrender. That balance touched me deeply. I came home feeling softer, braver and much more at ease in my own body.”

Daily Schedule – 5 to 8 June (Women’s Camp in Monties)

  • Early Morning: Aquarian Sadhana (yoga & mantra)
  • Breakfast: vegan porridge, fruit & French treats
  • Morning: hike, rest, me-time
  • Lunch: vegetarian warm organic full meal
  • Afternoon: Workshops about history of Kundalini Yoga and women teachings, Psoas muscle and Rebirthing
  • Peanut Hour: sharing, laughter, silence - optional: massage
  • Evening: kirtan, yin yoga, meditation
  • Sleeping: tent, camper, or bed in the house

Simple camp life: compost toilet, outdoor shower, open kitchen, lots of space.

Trek – 9 to 12 June (Women’s Walk in the Haut-Pyrénées)

We walk part of the GR10, a classic long-distance mountain trail.
Think: mountain lakes, patches of snow, rocky and narrow paths.

  • Sleeping: in a simple mountain hut or your own tent
  • Cooking: together and in the hut
  • Style: we stay on the paths and carry only what we need

The trek is not extreme, but it asks for physical effort, trust and the strength of the group. We stay at about 2000 meters altitude and we climb 500-850 altitude meters per day.

19 June – Closing & Goodbye in Monties after Sadhana and breakfast.

Sisterhood for All Ages

Rooted in the Spirit of Women’s Camp

The first Khalsa Women’s Training Camps were created as spaces where women could step away from daily roles and return to their inner strength and built a different kind of capacity.
Kundalini Yoga was the foundation – with early morning Sadhana, daily outdoor sports, shared meals, and deep sisterhood.

It was not about being perfect. It was about being real – about learning to live with strength, grace, and awareness.
Women supported each other, held each other through challenges and laughed together in the joy of being free for a while.

Our Women’s Camp & Hike continues that same intention:
to create a space where you can reconnect with your body, your clarity, your softness and your wildness – through Kundalini Yoga, shared experience and the raw power of nature.

  • Butterfly

“Morning practice in the rolling hills of the Gers, heartfelt conversations, preparing for the mountains and finally hiking to the mountain hut. There were many small moments that stayed with me. A butterfly remained close by after meditation. Some experiences simply become part of you. This was one of them.”

  • A new rhythm

“There was yoga at sunrise, psoas release, mountain hikes, nourishing meals, deep conversations and a lot of laughter. A new rhythm emerged, where adventure and rest supported one another. Spending time with women in nature can be profoundly nourishing.”

Mountains, my Love

In a previous life I must have lived high in the mountains...
The scent of rocks, moss and the call of the marmot... the untamed majesty of rugged peaks... this is where my heart beats faster.

As a child I climbed mountains endlessly – real, high mountains, with crampons and ropes.
Now I walk these paths with you. To share the passion for moving mountains together.

I feel deeply grateful to live so close to the Pyrenees now.
To be able to share this love for the grand, awe-inspiring theatre of nature with you.
