January

2020 was a challenging year, a rollercoaster of adjustments and changes. I hope you came out of it relatively unscathed. The rollercoaster (of 2020) is behind us and let’s look at what the new year has to offer. The impact of the changes and transformations of 2020 will continue to resonate for years and perhaps centuries. Much has been brought to light and brought into the light, which has allowed us to develop a new consciousness. From this new view of ourselves and the world, we can now take action.

January 1 soul body new beginning creativity

The 1st of January gives space for a new beginning with new experiences, ideas and perspective.  Use your creativity, courage, inspiration and originality to learn, to evolve as a human being. Exactly what you came to earth for! Number 1 also stands for balance between head and heart. With your head you can have figured something out but when you then speak to your heart it says that humanity and compassion are missing. The heart is guided by love and that appeals to all of us, but if you do not give your head (the mind) the chance to question it, you can hurt your heart badly. We want to live so much from our heart but the mind is also on our side if we learn to deal with it.

With all this new energy flowing our way, the challenge is to stay grounded. The first chakra is our ally and provides a sense of safety and grounding. To make room for new experiences and awareness, this is also a good time to look at what you are still carrying in your backpack; what can you say goodbye to and what do you take with you?

The online lessons on Thursday 7 and 14 January will therefore focus on this 1 ; balance between head and heart, grounding through the first chakra and letting go.

The lessons take place via Zoom, recordings are available. The price of the online lesson and/or recording is 10.00 euros. If you want to join a lesson and have not participated before, you are very welcome.

For me too it was time to take new steps in my development in this new reality. I will say goodbye in February in Kraggenburg to make more time for my Level 2 training and for assisting in the Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer training with Hariang Kaur in Enschede. In February a new group of Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Level 1 will start again, you can read more about it here . During the lockdowns, the peace and quiet by working less in the evenings did me a lot of good, I felt healthier and more relaxed. As Yogi Bahjan said; "Happiness comes from relaxation" and I certainly experienced that.

Breathing session free online

What's in it for YOU —> Breathing sessions! Yesterday I started a weekly project: Online breathing sessions via livestream. Every Tuesday evening at 21:00 we will breathe together; breathing for peace, space and focus.

You can join live via Facebook and Zoom and Youtube in the replay. Via Zoom I can see you, which might be nice if you have a question about breathing. Everyone can join, send this newsletter or the link to your friends and family! The sessions last 20-30 minutes, they are free and remain visible online. If you have a question about a breathing session or about breathing in general, let me know and I can discuss it in a breathing session.

Yoga Lesson Series: Ten Bodies

In essence, all forms of yoga aim to increase your self-knowledge. Who am I? How am I put together? By increasing your consciousness, you open the way to further deepening. Get to know yourself. In our Western way of thinking, we usually assume that we only have 1 body; we identify with the physical body. Kundalini yoga is more rooted in energetic anatomy than in the physical body. It therefore involves more than stretching exercises and is about the system of your entire BEING, your entire being. One of the ways in which we can understand our existence is by practicing Kundalini yoga through the ten bodies ; “The Ten Light Bodies of Consciousness” .  This system assumes that you have 1 physical body (your tangible body), 3 thinking bodies (the “minds”) and 4 energy bodies.

Each of these 10 bodies are your powerful capacities as a human being, which enable you to live according to a certain quality or value. The qualities of each body can strengthen you when they are in balance. On the other hand, they reveal limitations and challenges when they are out of balance. Remember: You can always strengthen your body.

“If you understand that you are ten bodies, and you are aware of those ten bodies, and you keep them in balance, then the whole universe will be in balance with you.”

Ten bodies kundalini yoga lesson series online

With kundalini yoga exercises and meditations you can learn to understand, balance and strengthen your 10 bodies. It helps you to connect with your true Self and to use your talents. It is the key to self-healing because diseases manifest themselves first in the energetic bodies.

Each of the 10 bodies forms an aspect of the growth process that is our life. Supporting this is the system of yogic numerology. Numbers make the order of forces in the Universe visible. The piece above about the " 1" of January is a mini introduction to this.

The series of lessons about the ten bodies starts on Thursday evening January 21st. It seems that the lockdown will last longer so we will start this series of lessons online first. This series consists of 13 lessons. The online lessons and/or the recording cost 10 euros or a strip of the strip card. If you want to participate or receive the entire series online, you can purchase the entire online series with the 13 lessons for 100 euros. Even when we are allowed to have group lessons again, the Zoom lessons and recordings will be available.
