(it is now 2022 - if you want to read more about the numerology for the year 2022 read here .)

It is natural to have an aversion to the idea of being a number, to be judged by your date of birth, your name, the position of the planets, your function in society... We are not defined by anything. No word or number can describe us.

According to ancient yogic scriptures (and other traditions), we can access the hidden powers of the Universe through numbers. The numbers reflect an order that is difficult for our limited minds to grasp.

Yogis assume that the blueprint for this life is already determined at birth. Much is fixed. Your talents, your weaknesses and your possibilities. An age-old and sophisticated numerological system has been developed that helps you gain insight into that personal blueprint. This way you can use the powers and gifts that you have more consciously. Numerology is also used to gain insight into

April 2021:

Jump Forward into New Territory

The month of April gives us a time and space to balance ourselves in relation to the world at large. We have all been in free fall in some way over the past 12 months, and now it is time to take stock to get, to look ahead again and to move forward again.

One of the key themes of issue 4 is 'Process - Structure - Order'. With many of the pandemic restrictions being lifted in most places, it is understandable that there is a mentality of pinky-pinching in response to our newfound freedoms. Yes , go out and get started, just don't try to do or tackle everything at once.

The number 4 represents the heart and what we long for on an emotional level. Well, almost everyone is longing for more connection, and the dating industry is set to capitalize on this with people looking to eat and drink together in real time. There’s a sense of new beginnings in the air as we explore our new territories.

Any business that can host outdoor dinners will do exceptionally well in the coming months. We all want to live well and have fun again, as we feel a deep need to reward ourselves for surviving such a harsh global experience.

Number 4 represents the ability to think outside the box, and collectively we are shifting our consciousness into a flow  energy of co-creation.

The number 9 appears this month in the basic calculation (4 months + 5 years = 9), and 9 is the number of magic, mystery and the subtle connection with the mind. New partnerships and alliances will be formed and old connections will be dissolved.

The number 9 can work at lightning speed, revealing new paths seemingly out of nowhere. Don’t worry, you’ve actually been praying and meditating about this opportunity for a long time. Just keep the number 4 in mind as you look ahead, and stay in the newfound jet stream of expanding possibilities.

Another aspect of the number 9 is completion. What is no longer working for us will quickly be brought to light. As we let go of people, situations, and even ideas about ourselves, the right forms of energy will quickly rise to fill the void. There is an interesting dynamic of “consideration and reconsideration” at play this month, where you will look at the same choice or decision more than once. This is actually a gift in disguise, a gift as it allows us to move forward with a greater element of certainty in our planning.

The total number for 2021 is a 5, and the number 5 brings change, unrest, and movement. The number 5 also represents balance, as it is the midpoint between 1 and 10. If you can remember anything during this year, remember this: “I remain balanced through all that unfolds, and I walk steadily in the grace and will of the universe.”

Number 5 2021 can push you to be impulsive at times, and we can certainly see that in unfortunate events in the media. Five represents the 5 elements, and the need to balance these elements within yourself. The world in general will be restless for a long time and continue with these Rock and Roll practices. So we need to develop a practice that gives us an inner space of self-control and patience.

The 4 Stroke Breath Pranayam is an “Old School – back to basics” yoga practice. It can give you the inner stability you need to face these times. Number 4 is the Neutral Mind and our ability to not overreact to the unfolding dramas of life. Practicing this meditation for just 3-11 minutes a day can completely change your outlook on life. You will develop the spiritual strength and grip you need to move forward again.

Many people feel like it never seems to end; the bad news, the challenges, the turmoil. Well, you’re right, it’s definitely been intense and it’s all part of a larger cycle of human evolution. You could respond by saying, “Hey, I didn’t sign up for this and I don’t really care about human evolution at this point.” Everyone has their own personal challenges in this rollercoaster of change and yet here we are. Like it or not, we are all part of the solution.

A great example of this can be seen in the 1995 edition of the film "Jumanji." It's a very clever and very entertaining children's film in which three siblings play a board game that produces dramatic results every time they roll the dice. At one point, it's the younger brother's turn to roll the dice, and he wearily turns to his older brother and says, "I just don't want to play anymore." To which his older brother supportively replies, "You have to finish the game."

We are all part of something much bigger than our individual selves, and everyone has an important role to play. You may feel tired or discouraged at times, we all do. However, there is a way to empower yourself to take on the task at hand.

From the natural healing method Bach Flower Essences there is the remedy Cherry Plum that supports you to find clarity in chaotic moments. It helps you to stay calm and to see the lighter side of the situation. The Elm Bach flower helps to make room for a feeling of certainty and self-reliance. It gives perspective to the choices that lie ahead. And, last but not least, the Bach remedy Walnut helps you to adapt to changes from a feeling of trust and safety.

By adjusting your diet, you can explore fruits and vegetables with a red color, such as pomegranates, cherries, red plums, and Fuji apples. These red fruits have many healthy properties for your skin, heart, and blood flow. Goji berries are full of vitamin C and are said to be good for the eyes and liver. They also make a delicious snack.

Go to the garden shop and buy a (windowsill) flower pot and herb and flower seeds. Grow something beautiful and cherish it in your own home or garden.

Sometimes “simple” is best and in April we need to simply and steadily build a life for ourselves with vision and purpose. The Universe is ready, willing and able to help you as you simply put one foot in front of the other and move forward.

A great sage once said, “It takes the same amount of energy to go to a higher consciousness as it does to go to a lower consciousness. Therefore, there is no good or bad; it is all your movement.”

May the flow of the universe lead you to a renewed perspective of Mind, where you can live and breathe your heart's essence and longing for all that is kind and good. Sat Nam.
